Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures by completing assessments and patient education
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and vital signs throughout procedures
• Administer medications, IV therapies, moderate sedation, and emergency medications as prescribed
• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other interventional cases
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition and cardiac emergencies
• Operate and monitor specialized Cath Lab equipment and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, radiation safety, and cardiovascular care standards
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology staff, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver outstanding patient care

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Moderate Sedation experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, interventional cardiology procedures, and emergency response
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered cardiovascular care
