Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Downey, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate service to patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
