Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts at a major academic medical center in Ohio.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position in a large academic medical center setting
• Nurses float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Patients require telemetry monitoring and ventilator management

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• IV start experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Ventilator management experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference; coworker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff through CampusParc, ranging from a guaranteed on-site garage option to budget-friendly shuttle-accessible lots
