Construction ManagerThe Construction Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of insulation and sheet metal construction projects across industrial, energy, and nuclear facilities. This role provides leadership for all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.The Construction Manager serves as the primary liaison between the company, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel, overseeing project planning, resource allocation, material procurement, scheduling, workforce management, and progress reporting. Responsibilities include coordinating labor, equipment, tools, and materials; monitoring project performance and productivity; maintaining accurate project documentation; and obtaining necessary client approvals throughout the project lifecycle.This position plays a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all company, site, and regulatory safety requirements, particularly within highly regulated industrial, energy, and nuclear environments. The Construction Manager leads and develops project teams, drives operational excellence, proactively resolves project challenges, and ensures project milestones and financial objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.Location: Onsite in West VirginiaTravel Requirements:APi is a national-scope contractor working extensively across the Lower 48 and occasionally in Canada. This is a travel-based position that requires temporary relocation and full-time presence at the assigned jobsite for the duration of the construction project, as determined by the company. Construction Management assignments are typically 6 to 24 months in duration.Eligible employees will receive $875 per week in per diem subsistence while assigned to qualifying project locations, subject to applicable company policies and tax requirements.Responsibilities:Monitor job progress through field verification of installed materials, labor hours, and overall completion status. Proactively identify and help resolve production or scheduling issues.Lead, support, and develop assigned direct reports, providing supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to build capability and support success in the role.Facilitate on-site meetings and maintain primary day-to-day communication with the customer to support project coordination and issue resolutionManage project cost control by monitoring budget to actual costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work; identify variances, support change order development and pricing, assist with negotiations as needed, and communicate margin impacts and cost-to-complete projections.Oversee project administration by preparing progress reports, submitting daily time sheets, documenting additional work, and writing project correspondence as directed.Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including current drawings, specifications, schedules, inventory records, and other required reports.Lead coordination of materials and workflow by performing material takeoffs, and ordering materials, identify upcoming work, and ensure required materials, equipment, and tools are available.Collaborate and work closely with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, customers, and project team to communicate progress, attend meetings, and support overall project execution.Direct workforce readiness through new hire orientation, training, construction safety, and QA/QC requirements.Required Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood interpersonal and supervisory skillsSolid grasp of building compliance and safety regulationsExcellent analytical skillsDecision-making skillsAbility to work under pressureQualifications:1-3 years of supervisory experience.Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or 3–5 years of verifiable on-the-job construction experience.Physical Requirements:The role requires roughly 50% sitting and computer use and 50% standing, walking, or moving throughout the job site.Ability to work comfortably at elevated heights.Must be comfortable working in an active construction job site environment.Must be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders via face to face, conference calls, and online meetingsThe employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 poundsMust be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in plant environmentPPE required when in the plant, yard or construction areas include:Hard HatSafety Glasses / GogglesSteel-toed BootsHigh Visibility VestHearing Protection (designated areas)GlovesThis position is not eligible for sponsorshipSalary Range:Construction Manager 1: $73,600-$110,800Construction Manager 2: $80,900-$121,400In addition to base salary, eligible employees assigned to qualifying travel projects receive $875 per week in per diem subsistence.Benefits:Medical, Vision & Dental insurance401(k) with company match, Profit Sharing, & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (NYSE:APG)PTO & Paid holidaysFSA/HSATraining & Development & Growth OpportunitiesAll offers of employment are expressly contingent upon the satisfactory completion, in accordance with Company policy, of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.APi Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
