Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule: Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- Current New York RN License
- 2+ years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Travel experience required
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- EMR experience with EPIC
- NURSYS Report for license verification

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults, including post-surgical care.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly those with abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity.
- Administer medications and manage IV pumps and feeding tubes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
- Document all patient care activities and responses accurately in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes:
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be included at the time of submission.
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Floating to other units may be required.
