Job Title: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department Pediatrics Profession: RN Specialty: PEDS ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: NOC Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in Pediatric Emergency Room License: RN (Compact Accepted) Certifications: PALS, BLS, CERT-Crisis Prevention Intervention, CPI Blue Card Must-Have: Triage experience, TNCC, ACLS Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Pediatric Emergency Room experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience. The role requires proficiency in crisis prevention intervention. Primary responsibilities include providing care for patients with common diagnoses such as asthma, DKA, and sickle cell disease. Special procedures may involve moderate sedation, breathing treatments, and chest tube care. The nurse will work with various medical equipment including IV lines and PCA pumps. The nurse will collaborate with ancillary staff such as techs and LPNs/LVNs. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. All candidates must possess relevant certifications and a valid RN license. This position includes weekend shifts and rotating holidays. Scrubs are required as part of the dress code.
