Education and Experience:

Minimum requirement of 60 hours of college
Minimum requirement of Missouri Substitute Certification, or the ability to meet the requirements to become certified
Educational training and/or PK-12 Experience is preferred
Strong technology skills, required
Knowledge of the use of the Internet for research purposes, preferred
Knowledge and experience with Google Suite and other computer applications, preferred
Experience with and/or knowledge and understanding of best practices in instruction, preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Maintains confidentiality of information gained through the performance and location of the position
Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids
Creates learning materials geared to student's ability and interest
Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques
May prepare, administer, and grade examinations as directed by the teacher
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts
Maintains discipline
May confer with parents on progress of students as directed by the supervisor
Supervises students during class and learning activities, as assigned
Supervision of students during lunch and/or recess, as assigned
Takes all reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
Complies with policy, procedures, regulations, and law
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
Works with high school and alternative programming.
Other duties and tasks as assigned
