Senior Sales Engineer - Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Industry (AEC)

Role Senior Solutions Engineer (Sales Engineer) – technical liaison between sales, product, marketing and AEC customers. Operates with high degree of autonomy, challenges customers' status quo, translates complex construction workflows into Egnyte-based solutions, leads pilots and POCs with minimal oversight, mentors new team members. Responsibilities Lead Technical Engagements: independently lead complex customer engagements and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) with clear execution plans; configure Egnyte and third-party integrations. Speak to Business Outcomes: bridge the gap between non-technical and technical audiences, understand that line-of-business users drive value. Industry Consulting: advise on technical roadblocks related to large file handling, site-to-office synchronization, and remote collaboration. Solution Design: prepare and deliver tailored presentations and solution proposals mapping client business requirements. Market Intelligence: maintain deep knowledge of AEC competitive landscape, evaluate deal relevance, provide insights to sales team. Cross-Functional Impact: collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape roadmap and support customer success across AEC scope. RFx Responses: lead technical responses for RFIs/RFPs. Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in Sales Engineering, technology (IT and/or AEC) and AEC industry experience. Programming is not required; light coding acceptable if desired. Industry Tool Experience: Familiarity with core AEC design and collaboration tools – AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Procore or ACC preferred. Technical & Sales Acumen: Consultative Selling – strong value-selling experience, capable of engaging all levels from BIM Manager to CIO, CTO, CISO. IT Knowledge – broad knowledge of SaaS, infrastructure, network, authentication, data governance. Presentation Skills – executive-ready pitches, handle objections confidently. Compensation Base pay range $125k–$140k annually plus commission-based incentive pay; varies by U.S. location and experience. Specifics discussed during interview.
