Salary: $196,560 – $293,426 per year

Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services in the Carondelet and Dutchtown areas of Missouri.

The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, behavioral health consultations, emergency psychiatric services, patient and family education, and coordination of inpatient psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions.
• Provide ongoing medication management.
• Provide formal and informal behavioral health consultations.
• Provide emergency psychiatric services during scheduled hours.
• Facilitate hospitalization for patients requiring inpatient psychiatric treatment.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options.
• Assist eligible patients with medication assistance programs.
• Complete psychiatric disability questionnaires and related documentation.
• Refer patients to appropriate community resources and support services.
• Participate in Behavioral Health team meetings and multidisciplinary care coordination.
• Provide consultation to Behavioral Health staff regarding diagnosis and treatment.
• Support staff education, professional development, and clinical quality initiatives.
• Participate in the development and improvement of psychiatric programs, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and appropriate productivity.
• Participate in department meetings and community health initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license .
• Board Certification in Psychiatry .
• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
• Minimum 2 years of Psychiatry experience .
• Current DEA and BNDD registrations .
• Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, as applicable.
• Ability to meet applicable Missouri continuing medical education requirements.

Preferred

• Experience in community health, urban healthcare, or safety-net healthcare settings.
• Experience with integrated behavioral health or multidisciplinary care.
• Active participation in relevant professional medical organizations.
