Requirements

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Dentrix
• Eaglesoft
• General Dentistry
• Infection Control License
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Open Dental

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Current Michigan Dental Hygienist license.
CPR/BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, HIPAA compliance, and general dentistry practices.
Proficient with Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties, including with children.
Competency in reviewing medical records and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Job Description

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric care.
Review patients’ medical histories, obtain vital signs, and perform diagnostic procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and treatment documentation using Eaglesoft.
Assist the dentist during procedures with four-handed dental techniques.
Educate patients on optimum oral hygiene and at-home preventive care practices.
Ensure dental operatory complies with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Support efficient patient flow and scheduling cooperatively within the dental team.
Stay informed on dental terminology, HIPAA rules, and best practices for compliance and patient safety.

Shift & Schedule

Part-time Schedule: Approximately 16 hours/week
Monday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Saturday: Call for special dates and times
