MLS Plumbing Co., Inc. is a commercial plumbing contractor based in Erwin, NC, with more than 20 years of experience to include commercial projects to include restaurants, gas stations, office buildings, and medical centers. We're growing and looking for an organized, dependable Operations Assistant to help keep our office and field operations running smoothly.

Operations Assistant supports the Operations Manager, to include day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the company — helping coordinate schedules, maintain records, and keep our team connected and on track. This is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable learning new software, and eager to grow with a company that has clear, established processes in place. This position would also require the Operations Assistant to carry and maintain a valid North Carolina Drivers License. 

What You'll Do:

• Support day-to-day office and operations tasks using MLS's established processes and procedures
• Help manage bookkeeping and invoicing tasks in QuickBooks Online for Contractors
• Track employee time using QuickBooks Time
• Organize and maintain files in Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
• Monitor fleet and employee activity using Verizon Connect
• Assist with scheduling, communication, and other administrative support as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable learning and using new software tools (QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Verizon Connect)
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently once trained
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Prior office/administrative experience a plus, but not required — we provide thorough training on our systems and processes
