Job Summary This is a full‑time Clinical Staff Pharmacist role working variable shifts, with every third weekend required. Enter and review medication orders accurately, thoroughly, and timely; update medication profiles and monitor patient charges. Review medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, duplication, interactions, and safety; seek clarification and document interventions. Work independently and problem‑solve effectively with minimal supervision; lead and take charge as needed. Enforce the formulary system and departmental policy when acquiring non‑formulary products; participate in cost‑effective drug selection. Communicate drug information verbally and in writing to physicians and nurses; assist in patient/family education and counseling regarding drug therapy and side effects; document clinical activities and demonstrate cost savings. Manage technicians and other supportive personnel; delegate tasks, validate medication accuracy, audit and sign out controlled substances, and investigate discrepancies. Participate in educational programs, in‑services, meetings, and orientation; take on additional projects as needed. Support pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) initiatives; monitor target drugs, collect data, and communicate improvement opportunities; perform therapeutic monitoring and recommend dosage adjustments. Perform other duties as assigned.
