Milpitas, United States | Posted on 03/02/2026 Our client, a leading semiconductor client, is looking for an Associate Test Engineer 1 (Shift 1) & (shift 2) . Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension) Location: Milpitas, CA Pay Rate: $37.40 - $39.60/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K Responsibilities Perform component-level testing and troubleshooting of electronic sub-assemblies and camera builds used in semiconductor equipment. Diagnose, analyze, and resolve electrical faults using standard engineering test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.). Support assembly, validation, and functional testing of electronic modules (not full system builds). Document test results, failures, corrective actions, and engineering findings accurately. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product quality and reliability. Follow established safety policies, including proper lifting procedures ( Maintain high performance standards and meet productivity/output expectations. Support overtime and weekend work when required to meet production schedules. Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) – Required. Hands-on experience with component-level electronics testing and troubleshooting . Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and PCB components. Experience using electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, signal generator, etc.). Ability to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions. Comfortable working in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment (preferred). Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and follow safety protocols. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as needed. Open to long-term contract engagement (12–24 months).
