Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

As a contract Occupational Therapist, you’ll be serving two primary middle schools in a vibrant community located just south of Washington, DC, with the potential to expand to an elementary caseload. This position is confirmed for the entire school year, providing the chance to make a lasting impact while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule—perfect for balancing with other clinical roles or commitments.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid and active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
• Prior experience or strong interest in working with school-aged students (middle school highly valued)
• Ability to provide both direct and consultative OT services, including possible evaluations as the year progresses
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnerships with educators, support staff, families, and the Lead OT
• Willingness to complete timely credentialing including a Virginia Department of Social Services background check and TB test as required
• Adaptable, organized, and dedicated to helping students thrive in both academic and social settings

Your Day-to-Day In This Role:

• Serve a caseload of 25 students across two middle school campuses (with possibility for occasional elementary involvement)
• Provide approximately 10 students with direct OT intervention, while consulting for an additional 15
• Implement and document effective OT services based on students’ IEPs and individual needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support students’ goals and progress
• Conduct assessments and evaluations as necessary throughout the school year
• Participate in team meetings, student review sessions, and ongoing professional development
