Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer prescribed medications and therapies, and manage IV lines and basic therapies as indicated.
- Perform routine bedside procedures (e.g., wound care, drain management, catheter care) and respond to clinical changes with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and support timely discharge planning.
- Document patient status, nursing interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; adhere to quality and infection control standards.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, medication administration, and when to seek follow-up.

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license (Oregon or eligibility to practice in Oregon)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour day shift schedule during the 13-week assignment
- Willingness to travel and perform Med Surg nursing duties in an inpatient hospital setting
- Knowledge of or experience with standard Med Surg protocols and patient safety practices
