Job Description

Reports to the Senior Center Services Coordinator. The individual in this classification provides prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers.

Examples of Duties

• Greet customers upon arrival.
• Check in members to ensure memberships are current
• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to the customers in person and on the phone
• Collect entry fees and membership fees.
• Enroll customers into programs and sign up for membership.
• Be knowledgeable of the programs offered and the facility to be able to answer a customer's questions.
• Count and balance their register at the end of their shift.
• Cleaning and general upkeep of the front desk area.
• Monitor the stock of literature at the front desk and make sure the supply remains adequate.
• All other duties as required by Senior Services Coordinator

Typical Qualifications

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Experience in a public employer setting is required / preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as listening skills.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Enjoys working with Senior Citizens.
