Cardiac Echo Tech Days Contract Staff Flex RedmondAdventHealth Redmond is a 230 bed facility, serving as a regional referral source for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama. This is our Christian mission, and it inspires us to help make communities healthier and happier.The Echo Tech uses high frequency sound waves (ultrasound), and other noninvasive echocardiography testing equipment, to produce images of the heart. These procedures require specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. May work in a hospital, clinical, or research environment. Echo Techs may specialize in Adult Echocardiography, Pediatric Echocardiography or Fetal Echocardiography.Schedule: 8am-5:30pmShift: Days (weekdays and occasional weekend) call requiredOn Call: 8-10 days of callLocation: Adventhealth RedmondPrincipal Duties And Job Responsibilities:Use of non-invasive procedures to examine heart valves, chambers and blood vessels to produce images known as echocardiograms (ECGs).Perform imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations which may include exercise tolerance tests, Holter monitoring, event recorders, electrocardiograms, stress tests, and transesophageal echocardiography.Obtains patient history, explains procedures to patient, addresses patients' concerns, and follows established pre-screening policy and procedure.Determines appropriate methodology and techniques to use; arranges immobilization and/or support devices for proper patient positioning; selects appropriate imaging device.Prepares patient for echocardiography procedures, positions patient as appropriate for prescribed procedure, and assists patients at completion of procedure.Uses good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses, or if additional imaging procedures are needed.Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.Qualifications:Education And Experience Required:Must be a graduate of an accredited Echocardiography school.Must be ARDMS/RDCS certified or RCS through CCI certified.Two years of experience in a hospital environment.Education And Experience Preferred:Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) upon hire.Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.RDMS, RDCS or RCS CertificationThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.Category: CardiologyOrganization: AdventHealth RedmondSchedule: Per DiemShift: 1 - DayReq ID: 25020712We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
