Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director of Biostatistics to lead statistical strategy and design for clinical trials across therapeutic areas. The role involves managing biostatisticians, developing innovative study designs, engaging with regulatory bodies, and contributing to clinical development plans and submissions.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovative and efficient clinical trial design addressing study objectives and regulatory approval
- Lead and oversee statistical support for compound development within assigned therapeutic area
- Provide guidance and management to statisticians ensuring quality and timely deliverables
- Present and defend statistical solutions to governance, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
- Contribute to Clinical Development Plans, submissions, and post-submission strategies
Requirements
- PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or related field with 9+ years experience, or MS with 11+ years experience
- Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical analysis and data manipulation
- Expertise in clinical trial methodology and regulatory alignment
- Experience preparing and participating in regulatory agency interactions
- Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities
- Preferred: 3+ years of direct or matrix management experience
Compensation: $218,740–$265,060 base (NJ locations); $244,990–$296,867 base (MA location)
