Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Any active state RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS through AHA Required Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Preferred travel experience - Experience with intermediate level of care drips Description: Winter contract option of 13 or 18-week contracts. Must work a minimum of every other holiday. Every other weekend and holiday required. The unit is a 16-bed mixed acuity with a focus on observation status patients. The goal is to discharge patients within 48 hours, emphasizing efficiency and time management. Only intermediate level of care drips are utilized for this unit, such as hypertensive urgency patients with orders for specific drips only. Inclusion criteria include new diagnostic radial cardiac cath patients in observation status, bi-level therapy, and non-DKA insulin drips. Candidates with previous charge experience are preferred. Experience with a patient ratio of 5-6 is required. Charting experience with any community hospital is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable floating if needed. This position involves broad patient diagnoses. It requires collaboration with various interdisciplinary support teams. Up to 24 hours of orientation modules may apply. Candidates are expected to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
