This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on Mechanical Systems Integration.In this role you will:Support the integration lead for different Mechanical subsystemsSupport the definition of mechanical system interfacesSupport the requirement decomposition and allocation process with the Requirements teamSupport anomaly investigationsSupport the definition, analysis, and recommendation of Trade Study options related to the mechanical systemsPerform data and document reviews and provide feedback for technical and program documentationSupport systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficienciesThis position is contingent on program award, expected in 3Q 2026.Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.The information below includes the standard job description for this positionPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsPrior experience with missile or space mechanical component / subsystem design, assembly, integration, and test Understanding of, and practical experience with Systems Integration and Engineering processesDemonstrated experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)Skilled in Creo CAD modeling and CAD control with experience reading/interpreting mechanical detail design drawingsUnderstanding of Geometric Tolerancing and DimensioningExperience with mechanical analysis and analytic tools (Creo, CreoView, MathCAD, etc.) Ability to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance.
