Job Title

Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR) – Days

Location

Carbondale, IL

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) | 8-Hour Shifts | Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgical procedures in the operating room
• Fulfill on-call obligations as required by the department
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative process

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated competency in cardiothoracic operating room nursing practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a cardiothoracic or cardiovascular operating room setting
• Familiarity with perioperative protocols and scrub/circulator roles in CVOR procedures
