Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life. Every day, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients, meticulously implementing individualized treatment plans. You'll contribute clinical expertise to develop and upgrade treatment programs and protocols, and actively shape departmental and organizational goals. To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic and therapeutic skills, and a compassionate, patient‑centered approach. Under the direction of the department manager and upon appropriate physician referral, evaluate and treat patients to improve their functional status. Work in outpatient, inpatient, and/or transitional care center as directed by the manager. Communicate with families, physicians, and other health team members, and participate in meetings as needed. Scope of practice to be consistent with Federal and State standards, as well as departmental policy and procedure. Report to the department manager for both clerical and patient care duties. Coordinate with other department members as directed by the department manager to optimize delivery of client services with available resources. Evaluate inpatients within 24 hours of physician referral, observing departmental hours of operation. Outpatient evaluation must be within 30 days from the date of physician referral. Job Requirements Required Speech Language Pathologist: CA, upon hire and Basic Life Support – CPR, within 30 days Knowledge of SP assessment and treatment techniques Knowledge of SP and healthcare trends, clinical problem solving and analysis, interpersonal and communication skills Plan, develop, and implement rehabilitation tests and problems. Documentation.
