Make a significant impact in the lives of elementary school students as a full-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity offers a rewarding way to support young learners in their educational journey within a vibrant school environment. The assignment is set for 10/21/26 through 5/28/27, offering stability and a clear timeline for those seeking a defined school-year commitment.
As an SLPA, you'll be working 30 hours per week with an elementary caseload of approximately 55 students, providing tailored therapeutic services that foster student growth and communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current SLPA licensure (California required)
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with educational caseloads and documentation
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates and maintaining detailed records
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and school staff to support student needs
- Help organize and participate in school-based screenings and assessments
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement
