Job Summary

The APR Internship Program provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience through project work, professional development, cross-functional exposure, and mentorship opportunities. Interns contribute to departmental initiatives and business objectives while developing practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional competencies.

Interns gain exposure to APR's operations, culture, and leadership while participating in structured learning experiences designed to prepare them for future career opportunities.

Functional Responsibilities

• Collaborate in small teams to address a business challenge under the guidance of APR mentors. Teams will present recommendations and solutions during a Capstone Event to APR leadership.
• Support departmental projects, initiatives, and daily operations within the assigned functional area.
• Assist with research, analysis, reporting, documentation, process improvement activities, and other business-related assignments.
• Gain exposure to APR's business operations, organizational structure, products, services, customers, and industry.
• Build relationships with teammates, leaders, mentors, and fellow interns while developing a professional network.
• Observe and learn how different functions contribute to the overall success of the organization, including operations, sales, supply chain, finance, human resources, marketing, information technology, and other business areas.
• Develop technical and professional skills relevant to the assigned department, including business systems, data analysis, reporting tools, operational processes, and project management practices.
• Gather, organize, and analyze information to support business decisions and departmental objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, quality, or customer experience.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Manage priorities effectively and complete assigned projects and tasks within established deadlines.
• Stay informed about industry trends, business practices, and organizational developments that impact the business.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and ethical standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education / Experience

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Management, or another related field.
• Completion of two or more years of college coursework preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
