Sr Scientist, Flow Cytometry
Thermo Fisher Scientific
Senior Scientist position performing routine flow cytometry testing of clinical samples to support drug development programs. Role involves sample processing, cell preparation, instrument operation, and data analysis within a contract research organization's laboratory partnership team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine flow cytometry testing on clinical samples using Cytek Aurora and similar instruments
- Process human specimens including thawing PBMCs, cell counting, and antibody cocktail preparation
- Acquire and analyze flow cytometry data using OMIQ software
- Document results in accordance with approved procedures while maintaining data integrity and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in lab sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biology, or similar) with 4+ years relevant experience
- Master's degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or PhD
- Previous laboratory experience in industrial or academic research environments
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry sample processing and instrumentation
- Comfort working with human biological fluids including whole blood
- Ability to work with hazardous elements and maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety and regulatory requirements
- US work authorization without sponsorship; ability to pass background check and drug screening
