About the Company HEI is a contracting leader with over 50 years of experience, operating in Arizona, the Carolinas, Colorado, and Texas. We specialize in civil construction projects such as roadways, bridges, water infrastructure, and environmental restoration. Position Overview Payroll Clerk – Main office, Castle Rock, CO. The Payroll Clerk works under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for all payroll functions. The role requires accuracy, organization, problem‑solving skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Administration Assist with processing the full weekly payroll cycle Prepare manual checks and direct deposits, including time‑sensitive payroll adjustments for employee separations Serve as backup support for payroll and certified payroll processing Track, verify, and process: Missing hours PTO and sick time Referral bonuses Per diem payments Other specialty compensation Reporting & Compliance Process and properly code hours for certified payroll on customer platforms Assist with weekly payroll tax payments and 401(k) contributions Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll policies and regulations Employee Support Respond to payroll‑related questions and requests while maintaining confidentiality Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll matters Assist with onboarding and payroll‑related documentation Support document uploads and record maintenance in Spectrum Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with Spectrum system from Viewpoint is highly preferred Experience processing certified payroll with LCPtracker and Elation preferred Working knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance practices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively Strong problem‑solving skills and initiative Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired Education and Experience Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED Experience: Minimum 1 year of payroll experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
