Technician Engineering Field

Discover a More Connected Career At CableCom, LLC, as an Engineering Field Technician, you’ll support the design and implementation of outside plant (OSP) facilities by collecting and documenting critical site information, including measurements and sketches. You will collaborate with design engineers to ensure project specifications are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. Salary: $23.00 – $31.00 per hour. Measure attachment heights, span distances, and structure dimensions. Measure distances from existing/proposed OSP construction facilities. Take measurements, field notes, and produce sketches for work orders & required permitting. Identify bonding and ground requirements. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project efficiency. Drive safely, follow company safe driving policies, and keep vehicles and equipment clean and well‑maintained. Perform work in all weather conditions. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Be 18 years of age or older. Have authorization to work in the United States for this company. Have a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience. Hold a valid state driver's license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record. Have at least two years of related experience and/or training. Knowledge of Aerial or underground utilities. OSP facilities, construction techniques, and conduit records. Easement, right‑of‑way, and permit documents. Physical Abilities & Exposures Work alone in remote locations, operate a vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse routinely.
