Contract | Days | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and breathing exercises
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in medical records
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and implement patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and respiratory care equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Experience with neonatal or pediatric respiratory care
