Physical Therapist

Crane's Mill Physical Therapist (Per Diem) Position: Physical Therapist (Per Diem – as needed) Compensation: $65/hour with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required. Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients. Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to help relieve pain, increase patient strength, or decrease or prevent deformity or crippling. Test and measure patient's strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data. Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Education / Training / Certifications Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by one of the following: The American Physical Therapy Association; The Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association; The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. Current Physical Therapist state license. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication, service orientation, critical thinking, instructing, listening & time management. Experience Minimum 2 years practicing as Physical Therapist; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
