DescriptionThe Data Governance/Data Management position requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work seamlessly across the organization to develop and implement procedures for effective data management. The position requires knowledge of data government practices, technology issues related to management of the data as well as ensuring the adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of the data. The position encompasses the implementation of secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to detail. The position also requires the ability to adapt processes and approaches based on evolving data management needs. The responsibilities also include:Pre-screen and review data to identify content of value, assign priority, level of effort, and triage for ETL teamIdentify risks and devise mitigation plans that otherwise could impact project schedulesEnsure established data governance processes and procedures for data sharingManage multiple high priorities concurrently in a changing environmentTeam with customers to successfully resolve issues impacting data governanceDevelop and maintain metrics and quad charts detailing project status for branch projectsFacilitate acceptance of changes amongst the ingestion branch and data governance teams as the Division moves to new workflowsAbility to brief senior Sponsor management and document new processes as new work demandsSchedule, attend, and conduct technical meetings on behalf of the BranchQualificationsRequired:Active TS/SCI clearance with full scope polyBachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree plus six years of directly related experienceDemonstrated experience in building, collaborating, and managing constructive relationships across organizational boundariesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate highly complex, mission critical ideas to technical and non-technical audiencesKnowledge and use of AWS and S3Experience with Python and using to cleanse dataAbility to assess and prioritize data based on mission valueKnowledge of data management systems for bulk dataKnowledge of flow of raw data in processing pipelinesFamiliarity with engineering large scale data acquisition, cleansing, transforming, and processing of structured and unstructured dataFamiliarity with policies and regulations impacting collection and use of data Desired:ETL experienceExperience with advanced data analysis methods to enrich data and connect the dots of vast digital data to piece together a story of what is happening around the worldExperience with advanced exploitation tools that turn data into actionable intelligence for thousands of IC usersKnowledge of systems, tools and applications that allow targeters and analysts to leverage data (and find actionable intelligence)Apply expertise with additional scripting tools (i.e. Jupiter, PostgresSQL, etc) to cleanse dataKnowledge of customer specific data transfer officer requirementsJob Field: Information TechnologyTravel: No
