Kumon Assistant High School Math Proficiency Required

We’re looking for a dependable, patient Math Assistant with strong high school math skills who enjoys helping students become confident, independent learners.

Responsibilities

• Grade math worksheets accurately and record student progress.
  
  
• Support students with math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus.
  
  
• Provide brief guidance using worksheet examples and Kumon’s methods.
  
  
• Encourage students to work independently and correct their mistakes.
  
  
• Monitor accuracy, pace, and focus, and share concerns with the Instructor.
  
  
• Help keep the classroom organized.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in high school math, including Algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus.
  
  
• Calculus knowledge is a plus.
  
  
• Patience and a positive approach when working with children.
  
  
• Attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  
  
• Comfortable using iPads and learning digital tools.
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Kumon’s approach.
  
  

Prior tutoring or Kumon experience is helpful. Training will be provided.

Schedule: Part-time weekday afternoons.
