Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsible for accepting, rejecting and ordering rework of items and processes.Growth opportunities to include internal/external audit experience and training.ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of inspections, checks, testing, and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processesCarries out packaging line, manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met.Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation.Prepares product verification documentation.May draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods, including assays.May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.May perform parts dimensional inspection for code requirementsQualificationsTechnical degree required – manufacturing or engineering preferredQuality or engineering experience and knowledge in a corrective action program is a plusRoot cause investigation experience and knowledge is a plusAuditing experience is a plusNuclear, military, or aerospace experience preferredDisplay an understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance to health and safety procedures.Who We AreCurtiss-Wright – Middleburg Heights, is a global supplier of fluid sealing services and technologies, safety-related fasteners, commercial grade fasteners, precision-machined components and electrical interconnections for the power generation industry.
