Irrigation Technician – Optimize Commercial Water Systems Across Greater Nashville for Acer Landscape Services

The Opportunity:

You will manage the installation, inspection, and high-level service of irrigation systems across premier commercial sites, HOAs, and industrial corridors in Middle Tennessee. This role empowers you to optimize water efficiency and resolve complex technical field issues while benefiting from year-round employment stability. How You Will Make an Impact:

• Isolate and resolve complex single and two-wire system faults, buried valves, commercial pumps, and controller issues.
• Repair lateral lines and commercial-grade mainlines up to 6 inches across active commercial job sites.
• Upgrade legacy controllers to smart systems aligned with Davidson County drought protocols and rain-sensor ordinances.
• Execute routine system audits, seasonal wet-checks, start-ups, and winterizations to protect high-value equipment.
• Maintain accurate site maps, digital change orders, work logs, and service vehicle inventory.
• Pivot to commercial enhancements or winter operations during deep winter months for steady, year-round hours.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2+ years of dedicated landscape irrigation experience in commercial site environments (5 years preferred).
• Technical proficiency with multi-meters, wire tracers, solvent welding PVC, and high-pressure commercial water tie-ins.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record to meet company vehicle insurance standards.
• Ability to perform heavy outdoor labor including digging, trenching, and lifting 50+ lbs in changing climates.
• Strong communication skills to report field statuses clearly to Account Managers and clients.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive commercial irrigation management experience.
• Tennessee Backflow Certification or state-recognized cross-connection prevention license.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with diverse field crews.
