HOUSEKEEPER III Full Time Service Workers Ellisville, MS, US Department: EVS Reports to: Director of EVS Created: 5/14/2025 Job Summary The Housekeeper III plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are sanitized and organized, which directly contributes to the overall health and well‑being of those who utilize the services. The Housekeeper II will work closely with the healthcare team to adhere to infection control protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness. By performing these duties effectively, the Housekeeper II helps to create a positive atmosphere that supports patient recovery and comfort. Ultimately, this role is vital in upholding the facility's reputation for excellence in care and service delivery. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and ability to follow safety protocols preferred Preferred Qualifications Certification in infection control or related training. Experience with specialized cleaning equipment and techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Organizational Expectations Perform routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to prevent the spread of infection. Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Assist in the training of new housekeeping staff and provide guidance on best practices. Essential Functions/ Assigned Tasks The required skills for this position include attention to detail, which is essential for identifying areas that need cleaning and ensuring that all tasks are completed thoroughly.
