About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic and entrepreneurial financial leader. The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the institution's mission and long-term sustainability goals. This includes leading the annual operating and capital budget development, providing revenue forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling to support institutional planning. The successful candidate will also oversee all financial operations, serve as the primary liaison to the Board's Finance and Audit Committee, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, a minimum of 7 years' of financial leadership experience, and a strong command of financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in GAAP, fund accounting, and higher education financial reporting standards is essential. The CFO will be expected to have advanced skills in financial modeling, and experience with ERP financial systems. A CPA license and experience in higher education finance are preferred. The role requires a high degree of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment, as well as a commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic Franciscan institution of higher education. The CFO will also be involved in enterprise analytics, and financial intelligence, and will lead the finance office operations, including risk management and business continuity planning.
