Production Machine Operator 2

Job Summary A Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating multiple machines. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, communicate and work effectively in a team, and follow instructions (written and verbal) while operating bakery equipment safely and accurately. The operator must maintain GMP standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mixer (batter, dough, icing & cream) Depositor Oven Fryer Tumbler Injector Wrapper Combi Other duties as defined. Equipment may vary by facility. Job Specifications and Requirements Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference for previous safety training. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements The physical requirements vary each day. The employee must be capable of sitting (5%), standing (40%), walking (10%), kneeling/squatting (20%) and bending (25%) for 12 hours. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds approximately four times per day from floor to waist, reach from 10 inches for about 2 hours per day and up to 60 inches for about 1 hour per day. Ability to climb stairs approximately 8 times per day, ladders 1–2 times per day, and crawl 3–4 times per week. Must perform repetitive motions with hands and arms about 1 hour per day and twisting of back about 1 hour per day. Must push/pull the upper body 5–6 times per day and the whole body 4–5 times per day. May push and pull trash carts weighing 500 lbs, dough carts weighing 800 lbs, portable equipment and catch pans weighing 500 lbs. May walk on unprotected heights, catwalks, etc. occasionally every week. Must not be afraid of heights and must be in good physical condition. Other Essential Elements Not Listed Above Include Organizational skills, reading and following formulations, calculating batter time and length, recording batter and exceptions, computing exceptions, monitoring two machines, understanding mixing stages, making batter adjustments, adding weight (ounces & pounds), identifying ingredients in and out of packing containers, hearing, understanding instructions and seeing.
