Weld Inspector

Harris Machine is looking for a Weld Inspector for their Oakes facility. We are looking for someone with a strong background in welding and expertise in blueprint reading, dimensional analysis and tolerancing. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure conformance with specifications. Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawing, Standard Work Instructions and customer specifications. Utilize CMM and other measurement tools to assess dimensional tolerances and make necessary adjustments. Stay updated with industry regulations, standards and best practices related to welding inspections. Provide recommendations for process improvements and assist in developing inspection procedures. Qualifications and Skills 5+ years of experience in welding and weld inspection. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Strong computer skills, including experience with inspection and measurement software. Knowledge of CMM operations and dimensional tolerancing principles. Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g. AWS, ASME, ISO), Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Certifications in welding inspection (e.g. AWS, CWI, ASNT VT Level III.
