Your Role as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, submitting a DOT inspection report that details the vehicle's condition. Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys during off-hour deliveries. Safely operate the tractor-trailer to its destination, utilizing your knowledge of commercial driving regulations and your skills in vehicle maneuvering. Maintain a driver log (either manually or via Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, recording delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions. Unload the trailer and deliver products to customer locations. Qualifications for a CDL-A Teammate: Possession of a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) A minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of experience driving a tractor-trailer Must meet our organization's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and risk rating standards Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely Since our inception in 1894, we have been paving the way as a leader in the distribution sector.
