Role Description The Route Supervisor is a full‑time, on‑site role based in San Leandro, CA, responsible for overseeing daily courier operations and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role includes supervising drivers, monitoring routes and schedules, and adjusting assignments to optimize efficiency and meet service commitments. The Route Supervisor collaborates closely with dispatch and customer service teams to respond to issues, resolve delivery concerns, and maintain strong client relationships. Daily tasks include tracking route performance, enforcing safety and compliance standards, assisting with training of new and existing staff, and supporting budget and cost‑control efforts related to routing and logistics. The role requires consistent on‑site presence to support drivers, provide coaching, and maintain smooth operations throughout the workday. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and Training experience to lead, coach, and support route drivers effectively. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with drivers, internal teams, and clients in a professional manner. Candidates should possess Budgeting and basic operational planning skills to help manage route‑related costs and resources efficiently. Candidates should possess knowledge of route planning, logistics, and traffic/safety regulations, ideally within courier, transportation, or delivery services. Candidates should possess proficiency with scheduling tools, routing software, and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office or similar systems). Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, a strong safety record, and the ability to work on‑site in San Jose, CA with flexible hours as operational needs require.
