Junior / Assistant Estimator

Junior / Assistant Estimator Position description: This position is responsible for reporting to a Senior Estimator and assisting in many aspects of the estimating process including material takeoffs, labor estimation, obtaining quotes and data entry. We are seeking a motivated junior/assistant construction estimator to expand our estimating division. An understanding of the estimating process and construction projects is required. Areas of Responsibility Report to a senior estimator Obtain quotes from specified vendors in a timely manner Perform material takeoffs Ability to read construction plans Organization of quotes Compare vendor and subcontractor scopes Persistent followup with all vendors to ensure timely bid preparation Attending pre-bid meetings, bid openings and site walkthroughs Required Skills Excellent communication via in-person, phone, email and other digital methods Motivation and willingness to learn our estimating method Detail oriented Excellent time management skills Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) Written and spoken fluent English Required Experience Engineering or construction background Experience in estimating is a plus Experience in the water/wastewater sector is a plus Benefits 401K with Company match Vacation and Sick Time Healthcare Position Type Full Time Onsite Contact us: View phone number on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Coppola Services, Inc.
