This position will create innovative actuarial modeling concepts and provide strategic consulting both in support of all lines of business. This position will also play a key role in the creation of innovative pricing strategies and influencing senior leadership to adopt new ideas and approaches.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate as a subject matter expert and change agent with underwriters, other areas of Prime, and senior management on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the RFP processLead, manage and review ad hoc complex pharmacy data mining and analyses to help investigate and answer challenging questions regarding actuarial data and conceptsProvide expert strategic pricing advice on structures and methodology using market research, financial projections, and complex actuarial modelingLead, manage and review data analyses, reporting, and projectionsPresent results and analyses to key stakeholders, executives, and clients; answer detailed and challenging questions regarding actuarial data, and provide compelling evidence to influence decision makingLead and mentor Actuarial staff, including the management and maintenance of actuarial testing program standards and applicationMonitor the Health Policy environment considering the implication of organization pricing policies, law, and political changes that may impact client programsEnsure work is consistent with federal regulations and actuarial standards, as applicableOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance10 years of actuarial work experienceActuarial designation (ASA or FSA)Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorshipAdditional QualificationsAdvanced level of proficiency in Excel; intermediate level of proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBASuperior quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skillsStrong project management and organizational skillsStrong client consulting presenceExcellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organizationPreferred Qualifications10 years of actuarial work experience in a healthcare organization or PBMPrevious experience pricing Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid lines of businessesPrevious experience in underwriting or risk adjusted rate settingManagement/People leadership experiencePrevious experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex pharmacy benefit challengesCompensation and BenefitsPotential pay for this position ranges from $143,000.00 - $243,000.00 based on experience and skills.To review our Benefits, Incentives and Additional Compensation, visit our Benefits Page ( and click on the "Benefits at a glance" button for more detail ( Opportunity EmployerPrime Therapeutics LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
