Shop Tech - Valves

What You’ll Do Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases. Read dial calipers. Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Basic hand tool knowledge. Stand and operate a sand blaster. Basic machining knowledge. Basic shop maintenance and clean up. Other duties may be assigned. What You’ll Need Minimum 3 years of mechanical shop/field experience. Observes safety procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization. Knowledge of MS Office and use of a Windows-based computer. Proactive, problem-solving individual who manages a varied workload with constantly changing priorities. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
