Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Bloomington, Indiana

Duration: Contract Assignment

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a busy imaging department serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department populations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Department Overview:

• 3-Room Nuclear Medicine Unit

• Serves Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department patients

• Average Daily Volume: 13–15 Patients

• First-Time Travelers Accepted

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately

• Start IVs and monitor patients during imaging procedures

• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and PACS systems

• Ensure image quality and proper patient positioning

• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR

• Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines

• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and healthcare teams

• Maintain equipment readiness and report any operational concerns

• Provide excellent patient education and support throughout procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience

• Current BLS Certification

• ARRT (N) Certification or NMTCB Certification

• Experience with IV starts

• Experience using PACS systems

• Strong patient care and communication skills

Required Procedure Experience:

• Cardiac Imaging

• Bone Scans

• Liver/Spleen Scans

• Lung Scans

• Thyroid Studies

• Tumor Localization Studies

• Myocardial Imaging

Preferred Procedure Experience:

• Brain Scans

• Renal Flow Studies

• SPECT Imaging

Preferred Qualifications:

• Siemens equipment experience

• Cerner EMR experience

• Experience in hospital-based imaging departments
