RCMS Lunch Time Supervisor

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Reed City Middle School as a Lunchtime Supervisor. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and productive lunch experience for our students. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff and students to promote a positive school environment. Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist students with meal selection and encourage healthy eating habits. Promote positive social interactions among students and help resolve conflicts as they arise. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lunch area, including tables and seating arrangements. Assist with lunch service, including food distribution, sanitation, and waste management. Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student behavior and needs. Monitor student behavior and enforce school policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required. Support students with special needs as necessary, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development or education is a plus. Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children. Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Must pass background check and comply with school district policies.
