Research Associate

Conduct quantitative data analyses examining health and health care disparities, immigrant health and well-being, and factors driving them, including federal policy changes Conduct research and analysis, including literature reviews and policy-document reviews Conceptualize and prepare figures, tables, interactives, and other data visualizations communicating research findings Assist in writing briefs that clearly and concisely communicate analysis and research findings Monitor health policies and new datasets relevant to disparities and immigrant health and well-being Work with the Racial Equity and Health Policy program on related research projects Requirements Minimum of one to two years working with large datasets, surveys, or administrative data Experience programming in R (preferred), SAS, or STATA Demonstrated knowledge of health and health care disparities and the factors that drive them Ability to apply research methods and statistical and economic concepts to answer policy questions, demonstrated by academic training or work experience Ability to communicate complex quantitative information to non-technical audiences, including through figures and other graphics Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and balance multiple priorities Authorization to work in the U.S. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in conducting quantitative data analyses related to health disparities and immigrant health, utilizing programming skills in R, SAS, or STATA.
