Flag Football Coach

B.E.S.T. is looking for an energetic and dependable Flag Football Coach to lead one-hour classes on weekday afternoons for elementary-aged children in grades 1-5. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching sports, working with kids, and creating an active, positive environment where players can learn and have fun.

Our coaches lead structured classes focused on fundamental football skills, movement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. You'll be responsible for keeping students engaged while creating a safe and encouraging experience for every player.

What You'll Do

• Lead 1-hour flag football classes for students in grades 1-5.
• Teach age-appropriate football fundamentals through drills, activities, and games.
• Keep students active, engaged, and participating throughout the class.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and explain skills in a way elementary-aged players can understand.
• Manage a group of children while maintaining a positive and organized class environment.
• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and confidence.
• Follow B.E.S.T. curriculum and coaching expectations.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and program partners.
• Arrive 30 minutes before class, and stay 10 minutes after class - paid.
• Set up and put away equipment before and after programming.

• A strong communicator and team player.
• Experienced with flag football, football, youth sports, coaching, teaching, or recreation preferred .

Position Details

Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Part-time
Class Length: 1 hour (45 minutes of paid prep/clean up time)
Age Group: Grades 1-5

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card - REQUIRED
• Valid driver's license - REQUIRED
• Reliable personal vehicle - REQUIRED
• Must be able to reliably travel to assigned program locations.
• Must be able to participate in physical activities, including running, throwing, demonstrating drills, and playing with students.
• Must be able to lift and transport up to 40lbs.
