Medical Assistant (MA or CMA) – Primary CareWe're hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to support a primary care clinic focused on internal medicine and geriatrics. This role blends clinical and administrative responsibilities, working closely with providers to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.You'll be part of a small, collaborative team in a calm, patient-focused environment where communication, organization, and attention to detail are key. This is a great opportunity for an MA who enjoys building patient relationships while staying hands-on clinically.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties:Room patients, ensure comfort, and prepare them for provider examsObtain and document vital signs (BP, temp, height, weight, etc.)Review visit purpose and document symptoms/history in EMRVerify medications, allergies, and patient demographicsPrepare and stock exam rooms between patientsEnsure labs and diagnostics are available prior to visitsAssist with follow-up on lab results, medications, and care plansAdministrative / EMR Duties:Document patient interactions accurately in EMR (Athena preferred)Process prescription refill requests per provider directionManage patient portal messages and communicate resultsSupport chart prep and maintain organized patient recordsMaintain inventory and order clinical suppliesTeam & Workflow Support:Collaborate with providers and fellow MAs to keep clinic flow efficientSupport both clinical and administrative workflows as neededFollow clinic protocols, policies, and provider directionQualificationsRequired:2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic settingStrong EMR experience (Athena, Epic, or similar)Solid understanding of medical terminology (primary care/internal medicine)Excellent communication and patient interaction skillsStrong organization, multitasking, and time management skillsPreferred:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar)CPR/BLS certificationExperience with geriatric or Medicare patient populationsPrior authorizationWork Environment & ScheduleSchedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (no weekends)40 hours/week (no overtime)4 days clinical + 1 administrative day (chart prep, results, portal work)Small team: 4 providers (2 onsite daily) + MA team + onsite phlebotomistPositive, team-oriented clinic culture with strong provider supportPerks & GrowthBenefits available upon permanent hire (PTO, retirement match, etc.)Career growth into Lead MA or office managementTeam recognition, bonuses, and vendor-sponsored lunchesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, GA.The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
