In this role, you will support the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects—from roadway and interchange improvements to rail corridor upgrades—helping enhance the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.What You'll Do:Lead the preparation and development of contract and construction drawings for highway and rail projects using industry software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads DesignerMentor junior and mid-level designers, ensuring quality and consistency across project deliverablesCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project requirements, schedules, and budgetsParticipate in project review meetings and support the preparation of technical reports, material costs, and construction estimatesPrepare project “As-Builts” documentation and support field assignments related to transportation infrastructure projects as neededWhat You Bring:Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science, or related technical field requiredMinimum of 7 years’ experience in document production within the engineering discipline requiredNHDOT experience preferredProficiency in discipline-based software (MicroStation, OpenRoads) and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative work ethicSolid working knowledge of transportation engineering discipline Ability to lead design drawing layout Why You'll Love It Here:Contribute to projects that improve roadway safety, enhance mobility, and modernize transportation networksCollaborate on meaningful infrastructure initiatives that support economic growth and community connectivityEnjoy a flexible environment with opportunities to expand your technical expertise and grow your careerCurious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is delivering?
