Creating 3D models and 2D blueprints using CAD or BIM software (like AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, etc.), detailing joints and connections, and determining the exact size of beams, columns, and foundations Inspect. Provides field supervision/inspection services on construction projects. Performs post-project review to ensure key objectives, cost/performance improvements, and rate of return are achievedPrepare Bid Packages. Prepares bid packages for construction and manages construction contractsProvide Updates. Provide project updates on a regular frequency to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progressRepresent the Company. Represents the company to industry associations, government officials, and public agenciesAdditional Responsibilities. Other duties as assignedTravel. Varies based on projects up to 20%Skills You'll Need:Safety-Oriented. Sets a safety tone for all activities and upholds the highest standards for protecting people and the environment.Education. BS degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Other Engineering degrees considered with substantial civil/mechanical/project experience. License. PE license is preferred. Candidates pursuing a PE license will be strongly considered.Experience. 7+ years of design experience in a heavy industrial environment. Strong familiarity with project management and engineering software tools, methodologies, and best practices.Experience using drafting software to produce detailed plans, models, and blueprints for Industrial Projects. (i.e. AutoCad, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)Experience supporting projects from concept to completion. Knowledge of concrete and steel design, building codes, and construction practices is desired Leadership Skills.
