Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP environment, supporting high-risk cardiovascular procedures and patient monitoring. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with clinical protocols throughout all procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, adjusting care as needed.
• Assist physicians with device setup, equipment operation, and procedural support.
• Document all procedures, patient interactions, and clinical observations accurately in the system.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices throughout clinical tasks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and post-procedure recovery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State Professional Nursing License.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting.
• Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures, equipment, and patient monitoring.
• Be able to scrub-in, circulate, and monitor patients during complex cardiovascular interventions.
• Hold or obtain RCIS or ARRT certification if not a Rad Technologist within 3 years of hire.
